2022 VSAC Swimming Championship

On Monday night, swimmers from ten of our member colleges were involved in the VSAC Swimming Championships. This event showcases the best talent from across all Associations around Victoria. The ACC Swimming Representative Team was in tremendous spirits heading into the event, with swimmers extremely excited to represent not only their College, but also their Association. 

The schools involved included: De La Salle, Parade, Salesian, Simonds, St Bede’s, St Bernard’s, St Joseph’s Ferntree Gully, St Joseph’s Geelong, St Mary’s and Whitefriars. Swimmers ranged from year 7 through to year 12. This event is always fantastic to have students meet other students within the Association, but also to help build friendships.

Led by team captains J.Tulloch (Simonds) & M. De Thomasis (Parade), the ACC placed 4th Overall in the Boys competition and had a few great placings along the way on the night.

Our placed results were:

– 3rd – 4x50m Freestyle Relay – J.Tulloch (Simonds), L.McDonald (St Joseph’s Ferntree Gully), R.Hayashi (De La Salle) & M.De Thomasis (Parade)

– 3rd – 4x50m Backstroke Relay – S.Scodella (St Bernard’s), J.Tulloch (Simonds), X.Purcell (St Bernard’s) & R.Hayashi (De La Salle)

– 2nd – Boys 16 & Over Freestyle – M.De Thomasis (Parade)

– 3rd – 4x 50m Breaststroke Relay – H.Wallace (Parade), N.Le (Salesian), L.McDonald (St Joseph’s Ferntree Gully) & T.Le (Salesian)

– 3rd – Boys 16 & Over 4x50m Medley Relay – X.Purcell (St Bernard’s), T.Le (Salesian), R.Hayashi (De La Salle) & M.De Thomasis (Parade)

– 2nd – Boys 12-13 50m Breaststroke – J.Leong (St Joseph’s Geelong)

– 3rd – Boys 16 & Over 50m Breaststroke – T.Le (Salesian)

– 3rd – Boys 16 & Over 4x50m Freestyle Relay –J.Tulloch (Simonds), L.McDonald (St Joseph’s Ferntree Gully), R.Hayashi (De La Salle) & M.De Thomasis (Parade)
