Junior Debating & Public Speaking Results
Students from eleven ACC colleges articulated, proposed, rebutted and summarised at the annual Year 7 & 8 ACC Junior Debating & Public Speaking competition.
The impressive young men developed speeches and argued a range of diverse topics from over population and video games, to the branding of football boots and the way in which history is depicted in movies. Throughout the day all representatives displayed great camaraderie in supporting each speaker and were impressive in the manner in which they constructed speeches, researched topics and often, shared personal insights.
A big thank you all to St Bernards College in hosting the event, staff members for their preparation and support of their teams and to the adjudicators of the Debating Association of Victoria whose expertise, advice and feedback for each speech will continue to enable our students to develop and hone their craft.
