The ACC Open Chess Tournament is the greatest gathering of intellectual genius held each year in our Association. The ACCent on Music Concert is the most significant collection of creative talent from amongst our student body. The greatest gathering of leadership potential and astuteness, however, is the ACC student leadership Annual Launch held each year on November. The Launch brings together all of the student leaders that have been appointed for next year, along with Principals, Deputy Principals and Student Leadership Coordinators. It is a brilliant concept and an event that is highly valued by our member Colleges.
This year’s event was held at Salesian College, Chadstone, with the staff and students proving to be wonderful hosts. The event commenced with a celebration of the Eucharist, lead by Fr Frank Bertagnolli, the Rector at Salesian College. After gathering for canapés on the function room balcony, the guests sat to listen to each of the 2019 College Captains deliver a short speech about their respective schools. The quality of presentations was outstanding and all attendees were impressed by the passion each speaker brought to the role. Congratulations to all of the College Captains on an excellent job in representing their school for the first time in their leadership position:
CBC St Kilda – Liam Taylor
De La Salle College – Liam Jenkins
Emmanuel College – Augustine Kadende
Mazenod College – Elvis Tran
Parade College – Max Tricarico

Well done to all of the appointed leaders and best wishes for a successful 2019. The leadership of our student body is certainly in great hands next year!
