ACC Open Chess Tournament
On Thursday 17th August, 11 Member Schools in the Association participated in the Open Chess tournament at St Patrick’s College Ballarat, under the facilitation from KidsUnlimited. This was the first ever ACC event to be held at St Patrick’s with the staff and students involved helping to accommodate all of our schools and also help organise a fantastic event. 200 students were present in competition, with very skilful and well thought chess being played.
We would like to congratulate Mazenod College for taking out the Division 1 title & St Joseph’s College Ferntree Gully for taking out the Division 2 title. This is Mazenod’s 23rd victory since they started in the competition in 1999.
A big thank you goes out to everyone involved and to Kids Unlimited for running the event.
