Athletics 2021 Championship Results
What a day of ACC Sport! With some hot action on track and some sensational field event performances, the 2021 Athletics Championship will prove to be a memorable experience for all involved. The warm day and the fantastic surrounds of Lakeside Stadium helped to create a wonderful atmosphere and the athletes looked resplendent in their school colours. There was a grand total of 506 athletes all performing to the best of their ability, with three of those attaining new ACC records. Congratulations to:

Another year and another fantastic performance from Parade College, as they claimed their fourth Athletics Championship in a row! This is the fourth year that the historic and much coveted “Old Collegians Shield” will find its home in Bundoora. Parades final score of 334 saw them place 25 points ahead of St Joseph’s College Geelong (309), Whitefriars College (292). St Bede’s finished in fourth (270), with Salesian (214) and St Bernard’s (209) very close finishing fifth and sixth. With St Bernard’s finishing in 6th they will move into Division 2 for 2022.
De La Salle and St Joseph’s Ferntree Gully were battling with each other all day to get the coveted promotion into division 1. De La Salle’s performance won them the Division 2 Cup, scoring 352 points, ahead of St Joseph’s Ferntree Gully (351) and St Mary’s (278). Mazenod held onto fourth place (264), Emmanuel (229) and Simonds (138) finished off the placings.

This is the largest annual event that the ACC conducts and it requires a significant number of helpers to ensure that it runs efficiently. The ACC would like to acknowledge the many volunteers and officials that contributed so well to the success of the day – a great team effort all round!
