JUNIOR & INTERMEDIATE CHESS
Yesterday the ACC had its second online chess tournament for 2021. This time it was for the junior and intermediate competition.
Once again the great staff at KidsUnlimited facilitated the tournament throughout the day. The KidsUnlimited platform allows students to login and play against each other via virtual chess boards. The system ran smoothly and seamlessly once again, allowing students to complete all their matchups along with adding to their ranking points.
We would like to congratulate Mazenod College for taking out the Division 1 Intermediate Title & Junior Title, also a big congratulations to St Bernards College on winning the Intermediate & Junior Division 2 Title.
Some fun facts about the Junior and Intermediate chess tournament:
Mazenod have only lost twice in Intermediate Div 1 since 2003
Mazenod is undefeated in Junior Div 1
