Open Chess Tournament
Simonds Catholic College hosted the annual ACC Open Chess Tournament last Thursday, with 167 students taking part in what was a very successful day. The event was once again overseen by Tim Broome from Chesskids, and we moved through the seven rounds of competition efficiently across the day. Congratulations to all participants and particularly to the winning teams – Mazenod (A) Division 1 and De La Salle Division 2. For full results, click on the link below:

Sincere thanks to the staff and students of Simonds who always do a superb job in looking after the visitors from our member schools. We now look forward to the Junior & Intermediate Chess Tournaments at Parade College on Wednesday October 5th.
